The Flemish integration projects 2006

VIP e-gov 2006

Project 1: E-office for De Lijn (Mobility and Public Works)

The creation of an electronic office for the sale of passes.

Amongst other things, the project comprises the abolition of the certificate for the composition of the family for the deduction of family discounts and eventually selling bus passes via the internet. The Magda platform will also be used as a source of information for the proactive delivery of free bus passes, e.g., for the over-65s.

Project 2: One-off plot registration (Agriculture & Fisheries - Environment, Nature and Energy)

The creation of a one-off plot registration for farmers.

At the moment a farmer must register his plots both with Agriculture and with environment. To a significant extent these two sectors ask for the same data. Great administrative simplification can be achieved with this project, which retrieves data on companies from the VKBO, amongst other things.

Project 3: Automatic data retrieval for the premium searcher (Spatial Planning, Housing Policy and the Architectural Heritage)

The  creation of an advanced digital form for subsidies for buildings, conversions and renting
With the link with the Magda platform it is possible to retrieve data, e.g., on the composition of the family and land registry income. This means that the current application can be greatly simplified. In addition, it also examines the online application for subsidy measures.

Project 4: The e-office right to advance purchase (Services for General government policy

The creation of a geographical information system for the development, management and publication of the theme file 'Flemish advance purchase rights’.

Project 5: Digital Leisure time office Flanders (International Flanders – Culture, Youth, Sport & Media)

The leisure time office links tourist and cultural provisions so that these can be integrated in a single application.

During the first stage the tourist offices will provide information related to both tourism and culture. Eventually an e-office will also be established where it will be possible to look at tourist and cultural provisions.

Project 6: Vaccination databank - Vaccinnet (Welfare, Public Health and Family)

This passes on vaccination information on children between Child and Family and the education sector (including the CLBs – centres for student supervision).

The aim of VACCINNET is to be the authentic source of vaccination information. A system must be set up for this to register and pass on data between Child and Family, the CLBs and the education sector.

Project 7: Exemptions certificates for inheritance tax (Finance & Budget)

The development of a system to follow up dossiers for granting ‘exemption certificates for inheritance tax’.

The application aims to computerise the back office processes with regard to exemption certificates for the exemption of inheritance tax and optimalised the service for external clients (citizens and businesses).

Project 8: Simulation and dossier follow-up module for study grants (Education & Training)

The development of a simulation and dossier follow-up module for study grants for secondary and higher education.

In addition to the electronic application for a study grant, it will be possible for citizens to carry out a simulation, as well as monitoring the status of an application that has been submitted.
